Wesley van Eeden was born in Durban, South Africa in 1979 and attended Durban University of Technology in 2001 and acquired his B-TECH in Graphic Design focusing on Illustration in 2008 .
His work aims to capture the essence of positive thinking with the use of vibrant colour and bold statements. He works in various mediums from traditional to modern media and his work is based on research and having an understanding of his subjects that he pursues to create.
Wesley found the company HOPE PROJECT in 2004 which aims to serve as a platform to create work that represents his moral standing. As a Christian his passion is to create work that will motivate, engage and hopefully create change to those that see his work. His design work has been used for a variety of products across the globe. In addition he continues to show work in major galleries across South Africa and in Berlin.
He is currently a lecturer in Graphic Design at Vega in Durban and in kwaMashu - a nearby township to help previously disadvantaged communities to learn the skills of design. He also continues to work with various clients from around the world.
