We see our lives as a "project" and an "adventure".

Hope Project aims at producing illustration for Advertising, Animation, Editorial, Branding, Identity, Typography and Apparel with a positive force. Our work has been used by clients internationally for a wide range of commercial work and exhibited worldwide on various exhibitions.

Our work is best described as positive and uplifting and we would like to work with clients that share the same vision for a better world.

EXHIBITIONS:

July 2006 “off the wall” group exhibition.
This was for mamba comics annual book launch. All work was sold including an installation. Artists included Faith47, Jason Bronkhurst among others.

December 2007 “art decko”. Iron Fist skateboard design travelling exhibition across South Africa. Artists included Senyol, Faith47, Ewok, Kim Longhurst among others.

February 2007 “emerging creative’s” Design Indaba 2007. Invited to exhibit at the Design Indaba 2007 in Cape Town.

July 2007 “bigwood” group show with Richard Hart (disturbance design), Kim Longhurst, Lyle Wessels (Iron Fist), Trevor Paul and others.

December 2007 “carry me away” wheel barrow exhibition curated by George Halloway. Artists included, Ross Turpin, Jenna Shone, Jean Paul Brouard, Richard Phipson and others. Article on
exhibition featured in February 2008 Design Indaba magazine.

July 2008 “bigwood” group show with Richard Hart (Disturbance Design), Kim Longhurst, Lyle Wessels, Trevor Paul and others.

June 2010 “Diagram of a heart” Commission by NIKE for the 2010 Fifa World Cup. Nike selected 5 artists from 40 proposals for an exhibition in their concept store and gallery in Melville, Johannesburg South Africa.

 

September and October 2008 “Under these skies” touring exhibition with Senyol. Toured Durban and Cape Town in September and in October 2008.

February 2009 “Lost and found” live painting event featuring Ross Turpin, Chris Mugnai, Trevor Paul among others... Exhibition consisted of participants finding discarded wood around the city of Durban and came together to build a giant “wall” which the artists then painted during the day outside on the street of the coffee shop “Hot Black Mamba”. The work was then donated to the city by installing paintings around the city of Durban.

March 2009 “Bigwood” Group show held in Berlin featuring South African artists.

September 2009 “Selected works” at Bean Bag Bohemia, Durban.

March 2010 “Laduma Skateboard” Group show held in Kentucky, USA. Exhibition featured many artists from around the world including Banksy and Blek le rat.

April 2010 “City Slicker” Touring group show held in Cape Town, South Africa. Continuing to tour to Hong Kong and London.

 


AWARDS

July 2006 - Volcom Art Competition. Awarded second place.

December 2007 - Shoe Competition held by Kswiss. Awarded 1st prize which was judged by New York Artist Logan Hicks.

June 2008 - FIFA Soccer World Cup Poster. Awarded 2nd place.

November 2008 -  Emma Smith Award. Awarded second place in Durban University of Technology Fine Art and Design Competition
