This weekend I got to show my work at Word of Art in Cape Town. Its running until 18 January if you still want to check it out. I really had a great time hanging out with my brother and Senyol! I got an amazing response from my work and about 700 people attended the exhibition and music event. It was pretty mind blowing for some one like me coming from a small city. Cape Town has got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.

I got to meet some of the people who brought some of my work. This is Jason from New York who is a professor in English.
This is Rowan who brought two of my paintings with his girl and Indigo from Canada. Rowan is a really talented filmaker who has just come back from America filming Freshly Ground on tour.
The awesome view from Senyol / Southey / Mackay studio in Woodstock. So rad!
I have been super busy in hopeville! The most heart warming painting I did in 2011 was for Cade’s room just before the holidays. Wishing you all the best for this year ahead friends.
I have added some additional prints and stickers to the online shop for anyone looking for something a little different this Christmas. Check out the online shop here!
I have some brand new limited edition prints on sale now and you can have a look at the selection on our products page. These are A3 digital prints on beautiful photographic paper with gloss finish. We will be shipping orders for Christmas this Wednesday.
You won’t see me at the mall this Christmas spending money on over priced goods. Markets are always the best place to go to support local craft and fresh food. Illustration for Shongweni Farmers Market.
Yesterday my lovely wife gave birth to our little bundle of joy..Cade Benjamin. Words can’t express our joy of this wonderful blessing that God has given to us.
The best thing about the internet and this industry is that you can do work for clients anywhere in the world. This was a really fun editorial project to do for a UK publication.
I am going to be part of a group exhibition at Salon 91 in Kloof Street, Cape Town on 3 December 2011. The exhibition is in partnership with Greenpop. All the artists were asked to think about trees and what we love about them the most.
“Welcome to Owlville” is an experiment with the simple shape of a leaf and how our trees give life. This is a limited edition print of 20 on A2 for R400 as well as a limited run of 20 on A3 for R200. If you interested in getting one feel free to drop me a mail: hope.projects@gmail.com or if you in Cape Town you can pick one up at Salon 91.
